Our Experience
We found Leanganook Camping Area to be a peaceful and relaxed campground. The large, open areas for sites provided ample space for tents and campervans, and the surrounding bushland offered a sense of seclusion. The firepits were welcome as the night we were there the sky was clear and it got cold, giving excellent night sky views.
We enjoyed exploring the nearby walking trails and spotting native birds. The campground’s basic facilities were clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. There is a rainwater tank by the toilet block which was hand for washing up.
